Applications

There are almost no limits to the fields of application for LOGIS coating solutions. The possibilities range from good transport, continue with public transportation, as wear and corrosion protection, right up to coverings for special load carriers and trays.

Non-slip, noise dampening, abrasion-resistant or non-stick – the properties of the
coating materials, special plastics and casings developed by LOGIS are custom made for the respective requirement.

Coatings in goods transport
Coatings of the load beds and tail lifts of commercial vehicles usually have to
meet several requirements: non-slip, noise dampening and wear resistant.

LOGIS is specialized in:

• wear-resistant polyurethane plastic flooring for trucks and refrigerated vehicles
• noise-dampening and non-slip coating systems for tail lifts and loading ramps
• special linings based on customer requirements.

When using roller containers, LOGIS coatings reduce the noise level
by up to -20 dB A compared to uncoated metal surfaces.

For food and frozen goods transport in particular, LOGIS coatings improve safety against slipping. In addition, there is corrosion protection, the impact resistance is increased and freezing on is mostly prevented.

Public transportation
In public transportation such as low-floor trams or buses, one of our coating solutions includes the renewal of worn floor coverings and complete floor groups.

Our customers in this field include the Vienna Transport Authority (Wiener Linien), among others, for whom LOGIS renovated the floors of the streetcars.

Heavy-duty wear and corrosion protection
For steel and aluminium structures, LOGIS protects objects additionally against wear and corrosion.

Moreover, LOGIS wear and corrosion coatings are noise dampening, non-slip, abrasion-resistant or non-stick.

Uses for LOGIS special coatings are found here, among other places:

• Mineral fibre industry: highly abrasion-resistant sprayed elastomers for suction systems
• Sand and gravel industry: special coating systems for dumper troughs,
• screw conveyors, vibrating conveyors and funnels
• Bridge construction: renovation coatings, special coatings

Load carriers and transport systems
LOGIS, together with highly competent partners, also designs and manufactures special transport systems and customer-specific load carriers for optimum transport space utilisation for the automotive, aviation and aerospace industries. Our customers can rely on profound know-how and decades of experience.

With the latest AutoCAD and CATIA programmes as well as high-tech CNC machines in our own construction shop, our own tool-making and our plastic production (injection moulding and thermal deformation), individual transport systems with coatings come into being completely matching our customers’ specifications.

Coatings for load carriers
LOGIS AG, together with its partner companies, has developed systems to protect sensitive transport goods.

With a special coating technology, critical subareas of the load carrier, for example in the area that is in contact with the transport goods, are encased or even the entire load carrier is encased. Damage to the transport goods during loading, transport and unloading are prevented.

The transport system itself is given additional wear and corrosion protection by the coating, and hence a considerably longer service life. There is no need for overwrapping the transport goods or the currently needed additional structures on the load carrier such as glued-on “protectors”.

Depending on customer requirements, soft, shock-absorbing and abrasion-resistant elastomer layers that are from 0.3 mm thick up to a thickness of several centimetres can be applied in one operation. By using a suitable primer system, the LOGIS coating adheres to almost all materials such as, for example, steel, aluminium, wood, plastic (including PS, ABS, GFRP, UP).
